Terms of Use of the Website

I accept the following terms of use - All images remain © to impressions Imprint P/L at all times with all rights reserved. Impressions Library Images which are downloaded as comps for compilation into speculative designs may not be used for any other purpose including training, internal planning, nor for profit or for gain. Aerial photos downloaded as comps may not be used for real estate development planning or inter-office proposals without first being purchased. Only images licenced and paid for in full may be used under the terms of the licence as purchased. Images available for purchase may be removed from the library, or have the terms of availability changed by Impressions at anytime prior to purchase. Pricing is subject to change and final only at the time of purchase. Cookies may be placed on the customer computer to allow repeat customers to be automatically logged in without inconvenience. Use of the website, associated search functions is a privilege which may be withdrawn without notice, if considered to have been abused. The functionality of the website may change without notice. Once an Image has been purchased, the purchaser, their employees or directors agree to respond in writing to an enquiry from impressions relating to the use of any image in question which is copyright © impressions imprint by providing the receipt number for the licence of that image in question. All downloadable files are in RGB .jpg format quality 8 or above and reside on a virus protected server. The download-only functionality will be checked regularly by impressions. Downloadable image links will expire after 30 days. Following download the user must make their own back-up copy of the download for safe-keeping. Problems regarding download must be registered with support using the relevant link on the My Orders page. Impressions is not responsible for non-functionality of the downloaded file due to lack of computer training in locating a downloaded file, virus blocking systems on the client computer, user side firewall settings, the client server or enroute isp or for other pop-up blocking or security settings which inhibit the function of the website thereby delaying or effecting the download. Purchased images will NOT be sent by on CDROM or eMailed at Web download-only pricing, and any request to do so may attract an additional service fee.

Application of use - Products in the Impressions Imprint visual image collection are available under a royal-free licence hire contract specific to the named purchaser. Licences are not transferable and cannot be sold or given to another person. The licence entitles the named purchaser to use the images in original works such as websites, adverts, brochures, advertising posters and TV but excludes retail-photo-products and templates-for-sale. Where purchased by an agency the licence allows as many-agency clients or campaigns as required which are originated by the named purchaser.

Permitted Use - Once purchased under licence each image may be used in a variety of ways to produce unique hardcopy or electronic works in the form of adverts, brochures, advertising posters and banners, point of sale material, advertising billboards, marketing flyers, business cards and other similar ‘original’ works excluding retail-photo-products and/or templates specified below in ‘prohibited use’; Electronic works permitted includes unique multimedia, TV adverts and websites (excluding website templates) provided individual images are incorporated into designs in such a way as to prevent them from being copied or downloaded as separate images.

Prohibited use items – specifically Retail-photo-products including but not limited to postcards, calendars, data CDROMs, t-shirts, photo-mugs, mouse pads, framed prints or posters, screensavers, PC wallpaper are Prohibited use. Retail-photo-products are considered to be retail, wether sold wholesale or retail. Images may not be resold or on-sold. Tempate-for-sale items which use the images are prohibited use.

Pricing - Images are individually priced and sizes and resolution vary. Images are download-priced and promulgated via the website are not available through any other channel, and must be purchased through the website to gain access to those prices.

Condition of Sale

Registered users may log-in, agreeing to the terms of use. Registered users may view and download non-watermarked comp-images for compositional approval prior to purchase under licence. Once an image is added to the shopping-cart and purchased, all sales are final. The purchaser must download the file using the download button provided. Downloadable image links will expire after 7 days.

Refund and Exchange Policy

Downloadable images - Because all down loadable images can be viewed prior to purchase in a "Watermarked" format, permitting proper evaluation of colour and suitability prior to purchase, no refund will be given following purchase of the unwatermarked version. Buyers should first click the image to preview the water marked version then right click the watermarked file to save to disk for evaluation prior to purchase. The images are sold as RGB JPEG images and will contain some jpeg artifacts and film grain. Whilst every effort has been made to reduce dust from the CCD or the film, some may remain and will need to be removed in photoshop by the purchaser.

Image colour - Colours may vary from one computer screen to another and colours you see depend on the calibration of your monitor. Impressions recommends that you calibrate your monitor to the Adobe RGB colour space and preview or print the watermarked image in Photoshop® to see any effect on the colour gamut, prior to purchase. Images will not be refunded after purchase on the basis of subjective colour perception. All water marked images are made from the master file and have identical colour to the download purchased version of the same image.

Damaged on arrival - Images which download and appear to be damaged can be replaced by the same image by downloading it again.

Privacy Policy

Impressions agrees to keep all information supplied by customers confidential and private. No information will be sold or made available to third parties. Customers may receive material or news from Impressions Imprint from time to time but may elect to be unsubscribed from this service if they so choose.
